What is the technique for stripping a floor?

It is important to check the terms of use and the technical sheet first.

Most strippers are alkaline with a pH between 10 and 13. They are aggressive and can cause irritations, allergies and poisoning. During application, wear gloves, goggles and ideally be in a ventilated area. The solution frees the polymer molecules during application and it is best to isolate the work area with signs - promoting work in small sections. Work on small areas at a time and protect entries and exits with fabrics to prevent the spread of the solution.

First, it is necessary to remove loose dirt, dilute the cleaner and then apply it by making 8 shaped movements, then leave the product for 10 to 15 minutes. Apply to small areas to evaluate the quantity of product to be applied; little tip - a match must be able to float or you must add solution, from left to right, slowly and evenly and repeat the application. Do not let dry the solution. With a brush and an abrasive pad, rub inaccessible places.

The solution must be recovered with a wet/dry industrial vacuum cleaner (in a movement forward / backward to leave no trace). Eliminate stripping products residues that alter floor finishes and neutralize the surface. Use an acid detergent with clean mop. Leave on for 1 to 2 minutes.Check if the floor is neutralized. If there is a white deposit, rinse again or use a pH strip (if the pH is higher than 9 you must rinse again). Before storing, wash the cleaner, mops, pads, seals and dryers. Wipe the rollers. Place the discs and mops in plastic bags.
